Family Therapy & Parenting Support
Families can care deeply about one another and still get caught in patterns that leave everyone feeling frustrated, disconnected, or misunderstood.
You may be dealing with frequent conflict, difficulty communicating, different parenting approaches, changes within the family, or uncertainty about how to respond to your child or teen.
Family therapy gives us a chance to slow down what is happening and understand what each person may be reacting to. The goal is not to decide who is right or wrong. It is to recognize the patterns that keep taking over and find different ways of responding to one another.
Parenting support can also be helpful when you want to better understand your child or teen, feel more confident in your responses, or make changes without expecting yourself to parent perfectly.
I also work with transracially adoptive families navigating questions about race, identity, belonging, and connection. This work makes room for honest conversations about differences in lived experience without treating every concern as an adoption issue.
Depending on what your family needs, the work may include parent sessions, parent-and-child or parent-and-teen sessions, or sessions with multiple family members.
If your family is looking for support, we can begin with a complimentary 20-minute consultation.
